INVITATION

We are cordially inviting you to participate in the 12th Bratislava Symposium on Saccharides. The Bratislava Symposia on Saccharides have been regularly organized since 1978 by the Institute of Chemistry, Slovak Academy of Sciences, the renowned Central-European center for saccharide research.

The Bratislava Symposia on Saccharides became popular among carbohydrate scientists for their high scientific standard as well as for friendly informal atmosphere. The meetings also provide a unique opportunity for young scientists to make their presentations and to establish the first international contacts.

The scientific program of the Symposium will cover all aspects of chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and technology of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates. It will include plenary lectures, invited lectures, oral presentations and poster presentations. Biochemistry session will be organized in honor of Dr. Peter Biely, a foremost scientist of the Institute of Chemistry, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Smolenice.
